Movie Ratings

What do all those stars mean on The BLACKBOXBLUE Blog?

5 stars = A/A+, PERFECT, THE BEST, EMINENTLY RE-WATCHABLE

4.5 stars = A-, OUTSTANDING

4 stars = B+, EXCELLENT

3.5 stars = B, GREAT, VERY GOOD

3 stars = B-, GOOD, WORTH SEEING AT LEAST ONCE

2.5 stars = C/C+, AVERAGE, FAIR

2 stars = C-, POOR, NOTHING SPECIAL

1.5 stars = D+, IT BASICALLY SUCKED

1 star = D, GARBAGE, DIRECT TO DVD

0.5 stars = D-, SKIP IT

0 stars = F, AVOID AT ALL COST

I’ve seen and rated over 1,300 movies. Each of my individual movie ratings are in relation to every other movie I’ve seen. So it’s a continually evolving process as I add to my database.
